Vesna is responsible for overseeing educational programs and instructional team as well as regulatory compliance, day-to-day operations and administration of Eton College.
Actively involved in adult education for 17 years as a curriculum developer, technical writer, instructor and private consultant, Vesna brings the highest standards of instruction and commitment to excellence.
In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and has over 31 years of experience in the airline industry, where she held front-line and management positions with 6 international airlines in Europe and Canada.
A Tourism and Hospitality Professional with 9 years of experience in hotel front office operations combined with supervisory and management roles in mid-market and ultra-luxury international hotel chains. Kashif’s journey in the field of education began in China in 2014, where he developed, designed and taught tourism and hospitality courses to undergraduate students. Having a Bachelors of Commerce and a Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality, Kashif’s passion for the industry and his belief in life-long learning grew and motivated him to pursue a Masters degree in Tourism Management at Royal Roads University. Kashif was born in Mumbai and raised in Pune also known as the, “Oxford of the East”. In his free time, Kashif enjoys taking short trips to domestic and international destinations to explore different cultures, art and attractions.
With 25 years of hospitality experience, Sarah brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her classes, working in an award winning restaurants, managing and directing wine programs while accomplishing her Wine and Spirits Diploma and Certified Instructor Certificates, then moving on to such groups as Relais et Chateaux and Fairmont Hotels has helped to strengthen her portfolio of work. She started her instructor’s journey with the Wine and Spirit Education Trust via the Art Institute of Vancouver and currently works inspiring International students to achieve their best through notable Hospitality Management Programs in Vancouver.
With over 15 years of business consulting, coaching, marketing, and research in various industry sectors, Maria has a particular interest in applying her professional knowledge in diverse cultural environments. Maria studied and worked in both Russia and North America, which gave her an opportunity to learn first-hand different business styles and practices. Maria’s other professional passion is an exceptional focus on customer service and customer satisfaction, which she’s been pursuing up to the highest standards in both large corporations and small business culture.
Maria is a passionate art and animal lover. In her free time, she enjoys spontaneous road trips, especially exploring hidden beach destinations of beautiful West Coast.
Maura was born and raised in Vancouver BC. She studied psychology at UBC during which time she gained work experience as a lifeguard and first aid instructor. She later got her wings and has been flying worldwide ever since and sharing her knowledge and skills as a flight attendant instructor. Maura is as at home abroad as in her beloved home base and believes home is wherever human connection is… especially at 35,000 feet!
Vaibhav (or Roy, as he is fondly known) is passionate about teaching, and most of his teaching experience involves working with adult and young-adult students from various socioeconomic strata of the society. He has over 13 years of Project Management experience in such diverse domains as Banking, Retail, Manufacturing, and Hospitality. He has a Bachelor’s degree in IT and a Master’s in Business Management from the prestigious Indian School of Business. His global experience in multiple client-facing roles has given him skills in Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Interpersonal Relationship Management, Business Communication, and Cross-cultural sensitivity.
He firmly believes that students learn the best in an environment where they feel connected, engaged, and empowered, and “helping students achieve their academic goals by empowering them” is his teaching mantra. His classes are full of fun activities relevant to students’ day-to-day lives and learning goals, and, at the same time, he stimulates students’ growth by providing them with communicative tasks that challenge them to apply their newly acquired knowledge.
Ruby is the Accounting Instructor. She brings over 25 years of solid teaching experience along with 15 years of accounting practice to the team. She holds the following degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting; a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration. Starting as a budget officer in a universal bank, she then moved her way up as Chief Financial Management Officer of national government agencies. She discovered her immense passion for teaching in the mid-1990s. She has never left the academe since. Her areas of expertise are Basic Accounting, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.
Ruby has dabbled into empirical research. Her paper entitled, “EPS: An Intercompany Comparison” was among those awarded as best research in the 2009 Allied Academies Research Conference in Las Vegas, USA. Ruby also co-authored three accounting workbooks used by a top university in Manila. Off the clock, Ruby, a certified foodie, tries her hand whipping up new dishes for her family and friends to enjoy. She also loves going to parks for long walks and reflective thinking.
Stas has more than 17 years of corporate training and business coaching, general marketing and management, as well as a relatively unique portfolio of business analysis tools. In particular, Stas’s passion for geographical and spatial analysis techniques in marketing and other business applications was born at the time the GIS industry started to emerge. Stas became one of the pioneers to employ this cutting edge technology for the corporate world.
Covering the broad array of national markets, Stas’s expertise is focused on retail and customer service industries.
On the personal side, Stas is a life-long health and fitness enthusiast, who can be found on the trails, biking, downhill skiing, working out at the gym. But also – somewhere in the art gallery, exploring his favourite genres of visual arts.
George Zakher, Instructor. George has been teaching for five years both the degree and diploma programs at Vancouver Community College. George’s education began with a focus on food and nutritional holding multiple diplomas from George Brown College, including Chef Training, Food and Nutrition, and Food and Beverage. Furthermore, he has attained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Philosophy from York University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Guelph University. George’s hospitality background includes over ten years of Food & Beverage experience and continues to support the management team at Fairmont Waterfront’s ARC restaurant.
Chitra is an educator with experience of more than 7 years of teaching Image processing , Management of Information systems, Microwave devices, , Satellite Communication and other subjects to undergraduate students. She holds a master’s degree in Electronics and telecommunication.
During her career, she worked as a Training and Placement Coordinator for four years while teaching, mentored students, organized National level conferences and faculty development programs, actively involved in financial planning and execution of Departmental Budgets and has been part of editorial boards for the departmental newsletter and technical magazines.
Chitra is also passionate about art. In her free time, she paints, clicks photographs, does calligraphy and lettering.
An accomplished hospitality and training professional with extensive experience spanning over a decade, Neha has worked with companies such as Marriott International, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Accor in Operations, Sales and Catering and Learning and Development across India. She has a true passion for hospitality fueled by a natural desire to serve.
Her journey as a trainer began in 2017 with Amadeus, a hospitality technology solutions company, where she delivered onsite and remote training modules on Sales and Events systems to hotel teams across different continents (North America, Europe, Africa and Central & South Asia).
Neha is a committed and caring educator, who is dedicated towards teaching and sharing her diverse industry knowledge and experiences. She is also a certified dance fitness instructor and loves dancing to the tunes of Latin and Bollywood music.
Bob brings along, extensive sales and marketing experience having worked in the Post-Secondary Education Industry in British Columbia for over thirty years. He has served as Vice President for a large chain of colleges and also has operated his own colleges.
